Thank you for taking interest in my company. I want to tell you a little bit about myself so that you can better understand the type of person I am. First off I would like to let you know that I am on the right side in the photo above. It was hard trying to find a photo of just myself as my girlfriend and I do almost everything together and I don't take many photos. We've been together six years now and she is a huge part of my life as she has supported me throughout my schooling and work. I am a Certified Mechanical Engineering Technologist credited through NAIT and I am currently following my dream of obtaining my degree in Mechanical Engineering at the UofA. I graduated from NAIT with a 3.6GPA while being on the Deans list for 3 of my 4 semesters, I worked extremely hard and was among the top students of my graduating year. Straight out of NAIT I managed to get a position as a manufacturing designer and programmer for a architectural metal fabrication company, IMARK. This is where I gained a year of professional experience before being accepted into the UofA. While at IMARK i was mostly working with AutoDesk Inventor, which is a computer aided 3D modeling software used by engineers, designers and programmers to create 3D models of parts for fabrication and analysis. I took the lead on many projects such as the ones in the in the projects tab and excelled on all of them; these projects were large scope with big budgets, while most others were small custom work. I have a lot of experience creating flat patterns for break shape parts, sheet metal, and structural plate. I enjoy 3D modeling and design and I have a good eye for detail and specifics, I was the first student IMARK hired with no previous experience to take on the role of designer and programmer. I am proud to say I excelled at the role and quickly started doing all the large 3D modeling projects. I did well enough to say with confidence that i can be an asset to you and anything you need in the design and drafting area of engineering, my company is fully licensed and i have already started contracting work for many other companies.
Now a little bit about my interests and hobbies. As you can see in the photos below i am a pretty active person, I love being outdoors in both the hot and cold weather. Every year my girlfriend and I plan trips to either go hiking in the mountains, boating and surfing in the Okanagan, scuba diving in the ocean, snowboarding the BC mountains, mountain biking and viewing wildlife. I love taking these types of trips to escape the city and be active, however I also have quite a lot of interests while within the city limits. Probably the fist thing my girlfriend would tell you about me is that i love trying new and exciting food of every culture. I also enjoy building and tinkering with my mountain bike, car and computer. I absolutely love horror movies and TV shows and my favorite holiday is halloween. Aside from all these small interests and hobbies I love designing things and being challenged to create something different and innovative, I recently purchased a 3D resin printer to experiment more. This is why I love engineering so much, it is a constant challenge and I am constantly learning and developing my skills. I enjoy pushing myself to the limits both physically and mentally. I hope that helps you understand a bit about who I am and how i have come to start this company.
