What are Drawing Packages used for?
Drawing Packages are mainly used for manufacturing purposes. This can include laser/water-jet cutting, bending of sheet metal, welding and fabrication of assemblies, casting, etc.

-
What is included in a drawing package?
Drawing packages include assembly drawings with Bill of Materials and quantity, detail drawings with all dimensions required for manufacturing. Drawings can also include flat patterns with bend lines, bend dimension and DXF files for cutting if required. The drawing packages are PDF and can be used in any program, the DXF file is a universal file that can be opened in any program that is able to read a DXF.

How are drawings created?
Drawing packages are created by referencing a 3D model, once a 3D model is created I then use it to pull dimensions off of for the drawings, therefore if any changes need to be made to a drawing the model has to be changed first.

Service rates:
I charge hourly for Drawing Packages with a base hourly rate of 50$/hr with a minimum charge of 1 hour. I will try to look at a project and quote my hours according to the scope but this is always subject to change depending on the difficulty and size of the project. For the most part I try to quote the absolute least amount of hours for a project. (Drawing Packages require a 3D model to be based of off, therefore drawing packages take a bit longer than just a 3D model)
